The Worth Avenue Tree Lighting, part of “Holidays on Worth,” is a decades-long Palm Beach tradition put on by the Worth Avenue Association — and it’s one of the most elegant holiday events in the county.

In recent years, the evening has followed this pattern:
- 4:00 PM — Live entertainment begins along Worth Avenue
- ~6:10 PM — Santa and his elves lead a festive procession down the 100 block of Worth Avenue
- ~6:25 PM — Santa lights the Avenue’s 40-foot Christmas tree
Worth Avenue closes to traffic during the event, so it’s a walkable, festive evening best enjoyed on foot — arrive a little early to find parking nearby.
